Overview

Nueltin Lake Lodge is Canada’s Premier Fly-In Fishing Resort, with Accommodations from Luxurious to Rustic
The Nueltin Lake area lies on the northern border of Manitoba and Nunavut. The tree line runs east-to-west, directly through this “bridge” between the forests and tundra, making this a unique and beautiful environment. Huge glaciers carved this rugged landscape during the last ice age, resulting in deep, clear lakes and rivers with thousands of bays and endless shoreline. These elements combine to create the perfect habitat for monster fish. Nueltin’s facilities are accessible only by air and located hundreds of miles from the pressures of civilization.

There are no commercial fishing operations in the Nueltin Lake area. No access by road or waterway. No communities on any lakes. An operation this exclusive has a positive effect on the angling resource. In turn, it has a profound effect on Nueltin’s clients’ fishing adventures. Plus, self-imposed bed limits ensure this pristine wilderness environment will remain the same for generations to come.

Nueltin Fly-In Lodges have long been a world leader in sustainable sports angling resource management. Nueltin’s commitment to conservation started when the lodge was established and continues today. Nueltin’s is Canada’s Original Catch-and-Release Lodge. A strict release policy started in the late 1970s.

Nueltin’s was also the first to implement a barbless hook. They do this because increased survival rates effectively maintain the superior genetics that trophy fish possess. Similar hook policies have since been implemented in the province of Manitoba and are gaining popularity.

Nueltin Fly-In Lodges - A World Leader In Sustainable Sport Angling Conservation

  • A true fly-In lake! Experience pristine wilderness hundreds of miles from the nearest road.
  • Much of this resource has never been fished. 14,000 square miles of sport fishing paradise with over 30 inflows and one outflow on Nueltin Lake.
  • Thousands of miles of shoreline and thousands of islands for excellent structure and fewer storm days.
  • The only lodge operation in the entire area with self-imposed bed limits for limited pressure and no over utilization.
  • Shortened season to avoid over pressure during vital spawning periods.
  • The first lake in Canada to institute a catch-and-release policy. Nueltin’s have been the most protected lake in North America since the late 1970s.
  • The first lake in Canada to enforce barbless hooks only policy.
  • The first lake in Canada to enforce single barbless hooks only policy.

“How do you provide this level of service in such a remote location?" The answer? Experience.

Nueltin Fly-In Lodges employ a dedicated team of professionals. Vital infrastructure is in place at the lodge and southern staging facilities. These components make up a well-oiled machine. Thousands of pounds of food, fuel, equipment and supplies are provided for your world-class angling adventure!

Nueltin’s clients prefer the convenience of large, modern wheeled air transport direct to a private airstrip. Your adventure begins in comfort and convenience. Only hours after leaving civilization behind, you’ll be on the lake creating memories. Let Nueltin’s take care of everything.

A fleet of float-equipped aircraft is available at the lodge. These allow Nueltin’s to effectively service their own locations. Nueltin’s also give you the opportunity to conveniently enjoy access to the whole area. Experience a day fly-out, or overnight fly-out – often to locations that have never been fished!

Operation of a remote fly-in fishing lodge is costly. Nueltin’s repeat clientele rate allows them to operate at or near capacity. This makes it easier to estimate costs and price packages accordingly. All-inclusive packages leave no room for surprises.

Today, many an angler goes home bragging about his catch and yes, talking up the genuine quality of the camps. It's all here… top level service, organization, equipment, facilities, staff, and, of course, the superb fishing. Nueltin is convenient to reach, with a direct air charter from Winnipeg to a private 5000-foot airstrip at Treeline Lodge.
